I use Gimp on Mac OS Version 10.10.5
gimp version 2.8.16

and picture windows is very very slow to show images inside.

more slow is moving different picture (on different layers) 
and if i wonna resize a layer i can have a coffee while i choose the final dimension.

there is any solution?
