Description Debarshi Ray 2016-03-15 17:25:33 UTC
The ability to quickly cross-check the UTC time is useful when setting up appointments that involve people from widely different timezones.

Even more so, when daylight saving enters the equation. I am always nervous about my appointments when the daylight saving time changes. There is a period of one or two weeks when the time has changed in North America but not in Europe, or vice versa. I believe the UK time is not enough because unlike UTC it is subject to daylight saving adjustments.
