I often use the cut tool and also the helpful rename option with F2.

When you cut an picture, press accept and then rename it, you get back to the overview and a dialog opens asking you if you want to save.
If you press the save button gThumb crashes.

$ gthumb  --gst-debug-level 2
...
*** BUG ***

Set a breakpoint on '_pixman_log_error' to debug
Speicherzugriffsfehler (Segmentation fault)

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed in the code repository. The fix will be in 3.4.2, once it is released.
