The GNOME logo used when verifying the google account is squashed it seems.
Tested on GNOME Continuous from today.

We are currently using this as the logo:
https://people.gnome.org/~engagement/logos/GnomeLogoVertical.png

It is 115x155 pixels, while Google prefers a square logo not larger than 120x120 pixels.

Will this work, or do you think I need to leave some more padding around the logo?

Doesn't seem to make a difference.

By the way, I uploaded it to https://rishi.fedorapeople.org/GnomeLogoVertical.png because Google wants a URL.

If you pass me a Google ID then I can give you access to the GNOME app on Google Developers Console. You can play with it yourself. You need to change the icon, then go to Settings -> Online Accounts -> Add Google to check.

Maybe we just need to wait for the change to propagate?
Comment 5 Debarshi Ray 2016-03-17 16:52:30 UTC
Now that I compare them side by side, Andreas' icon does look better.

Yes, it is better. The icon does need more padding around it though.
Comment 7 Andreas Nilsson 2016-03-18 14:07:13 UTC
I'll fix that
Comment 8 Debarshi Ray 2016-03-18 16:58:20 UTC
Can we find a more official looking URL to upload the icon? Something like https://people.gnome.org/~engagement is better than https://rishi.fedorapeople.org. :)

Thanks for helping with the icon.

I agree, that would look better. I can upload to ~engagement - just let me know which image to use.

Is that the same as my gmail address?
andreasn.pixel@gmail.com in that case.

Yes. I add you as "owner" now. You need to:

(a) Go to https://code.google.com/apis/console/ and log in
(b) Select "GNOME"
(c) Click the hamburger icon on the top left to go to "API Manager"
(d) Select "Credentials"
(e) Select "OAuth consent screen"
(d) Edit "Product logo URL"
Comment 12 Andreas Nilsson 2016-03-21 21:20:49 UTC
I've edited it and put the new logo here:
https://www.gnome.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/GnomeLogoVertical.png
I can move it to www.gnome.org/engagement/gnomelogoforgoogle.png if that's better.

This is how it looks now.
Comment 14 Allan Day 2016-03-23 14:50:56 UTC
I put the logo in the engagement space - this is more secure than using Wordpress; far fewer people have access to it.

Can we close this now?
