Description Jorge Hernandez 2016-02-27 19:29:50 UTC
Hey guys,

I just configured Evolution to get my contacts from Google, but I get nothing but a red window saying that it could not get them, any ideas what I can do about this?

Thanks.

Thanks for a bug report. The Google server admins disabled ClientLogin, which evolution used to use. Configure your Google account in GNOME Online Accounts (gnome-control-center->Online Accounts) and it'll work. Since 3.20.0 you'll be able to configure OAuth-capable Google cervices directly in the evolution too (if evolution-data-server is configured with its support). This had been discussed long ago (your 3.16 is sort of ancient).
