GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 762743
Wastebasket icon no longer changes state when trash is not empty
Last modified: 2016-08-21 13:55:54 UTC
Created attachment 322476 [details] Wastebasket Icon Shows Empty Falsely I have recently noticed that when moving items into the Wastebasket, at no time will the little icon become red in Nautilus as it normally would when the Wastebasket is not empty. This issue first occurred when I was using the Numix theme, but the issue is also present with the Adwaita theme, so it's probably theme independent. I originally reported this issue here but thought I should also do so upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1535925 --- OS Information: No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 15.10 Release: 15.10 Codename: wily Flavour: GNOME GNOME Version: 3.18 Package Information: nautilus: Installed: 1:3.18.5-0ubuntu1~wily1 Candidate: 1:3.18.5-0ubuntu1~wily1 Version table: *** 1:3.18.5-0ubuntu1~wily1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3-staging/ubuntu/ wily/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.14.2-0ubuntu13 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ wily-updates/main amd64 Packages 1:3.14.2-0ubuntu12 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ wily/main amd64 Packages
This issue no longer affects me now that I have upgraded to GNOME 3.20.
Though I should make it clear that on my systems still running 3.18 the issue is still present.
3.18 is no longer supported, and this is fixed in recent versions, so closing.
Oh, what is the lifespan of releases then?
