Description Bastien Nocera 2016-01-09 13:22:54 UTC
After installing codecs through gnome software, there's no feedback in the Videos application to retry playing back the video, and it seems that it doesn't pick up the newly installed plugins either.

This was on a stock F23 installation.

I just hit that case as well, that's still an issue with the new gstreamer version
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2016-03-18 10:09:13 UTC
This is a problem since we switched to using GNOME Software to install the codecs.
Comment 3 Sebastien Bacher 2016-03-18 10:21:50 UTC
Did the totem code change for that? On Ubuntu we still use our custom sessioninstaller handler but I see the issue there as well, I though it might be a gstreamer issue, but it could be that totem's code changed to handle the gnome-software case and introduced that regression?
