GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 760129
Local VMs take a long time to show up and there is no progress indicator
Last modified: 2016-09-20 08:15:55 UTC
I have a bunch of local VMs and one VNC connection. When my system (a ThinkPad x220 with 8G RAM and a rotating HDD) is under any kind of load (eg., compiling LibreOffice with make -j1), it takes a while for the local VMs to show up. The VNC connection shows up pretty early, but the VMs take at least a minute to show up. To make it worse there is no progress indicator.
Actually, the local VMs never show up when I start Boxes for the first time. Quitting and restarting Boxes makes them show up within a few seconds, and I do see a spinner. Feel free to re-title the bug. :)

Good, then it's a known issue. Please do comment on the libvirt bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 751696 ***
