Description Sergey 2015-12-31 07:26:31 UTC
For now I use Gentoo GNU/Linux build of =app-office/gnumeric-1.12.25 with Russian (LANG=ru_RU.utf8) interface.
The issue is in that some standard menu items are displayed unlocalized (for example now they are: New/Opwn/Save/Save As).

Oryginally issue was reported downstream, see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=566016
Example screenshot is attached to downstream bug.

Those labels aren't translated to Russian because the translation team
hasn't gotten around to it yet.

For example:

#: ../src/gui-util.h:157
#, fuzzy
msgctxt "Stock label"
msgid "Save _As"
msgstr "Сохранить как"

(Note the "fuzzy" mark.)

This is fallout from Gtk+'s dropping stock labels.

The translators work on their own schedules and do not consult bugzilla,
so closing this bug. Note, however, that the last substantial update to
the Russian translations were in 2012, so the team is not very active.
