GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 759549
[review] bg/sw-devices-mtu-bgo759549: add support for changing MTU of ip-tunnel, vxlan, tun/tap interfaces
Last modified: 2015-12-19 11:26:09 UTC
Currently there is no way to change the MTU for ip-tunnel, vxlan and tun/tap interfaces created through NM. For vxlans and tun/taps it makes sense to add a NMSettingWired to the connection since they are layer 2 interfaces (for NMDeviceTun, only when in 'tap' mode). For these devices, also add support for changing the MAC address. For IP tunnels, adding a NMSettingWired seems wrong since the device is layer3-only and so I would add the MTU to the ip-tunnel setting.
