GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 759515
goa-daemon times out and must be re-started to continue using accounts
Last modified: 2015-12-17 10:08:34 UTC
Using Fedora 23 with several Google accounts configured in Gnome Online Accounts, they become unavailable after a variable period. Access can be restored by executing '/usr/libexec/goa-daemon --replace'. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1260401 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1259434 appear to me to be this same issue. The second one suggest this may be related to rate-limiting for queries to goa-daemon. This hypothesis is consistent with the fact that I experience it more often on my desktop than on my laptops, and the desktop has more Google accounts configured. Unlike the reporter in the first bug, I have not noticed a correlation with suspend/resume or changes in network connection
I do think that this is a duplicate of bug 751524 I just released gnome-online-accounts-3.18.3, which means that we now have releases for all the branches (3.19.x, 3.18.x and 3.16.x) that had that bug. In case it turns out to be something else, then we can re-open this bug.
