Description Johny Why 2015-10-14 22:46:50 UTC
The horizontal scrollbar in the preview pane is at the bottom of the email, instead of the bottom of geary chrome.

As a result, one must first scroll to the bottom of the email vertically, before you can scroll to the right horizontally.

That's illogical, non-intuitive, and inconvenient. If it's a long email, it's even more inconvenient. If you have a small or low-res monitor, it's even more inconvenient.

The horizontal scrollbar should not be attached to the message-- it should not be necessary to scroll vertically before the horizontal scrollbar comes into view.

thx

I had to find a message containing a big picture to test it.
I confirm that the horizontal scrollbar is currently visible only at the bottom of the email.

I think that it should stick to the bottom of current view in the message pane.
It would help also a keyboard shortcut, like hold Shift and mouse scrolling (as in Evince), to do so without any clicking.

Wait, this is actually a duplicate of Bug #714842.
