GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 751604
Google account password changed results in timeouts
Last modified: 2015-11-25 18:51:36 UTC
I have a google account setup in gnome online accounts. I use said google account in evolution and empathy. Two days ago I changed the password of the google account, using a browser. Evolution or gnome online accounts never prompted me for a password. The cached token was, I presume, still valid while the laptop was powered on. This morning evolution started giving timeout errors on imap.gmail.com. I couldn't find any way to disconnect / reconnect / forget the password. Not in Evolution, nor in settings -> online accounts, nor in seahorse. I could delete the token in seahorse, but still gnome online accounts wouldn't prompt for a new password. It would just timeout with empty tokens. I could only reset the password by deleting the account, and recreating it. So two bugs: 1. "timeout" is the wrong error. 2. "logout"/"re-prompt password" should be possible somewhere.

I think all these timeout issues are the same as (your) bug 751524
