GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 751212
Import from device
Last modified: 2018-02-08 10:32:16 UTC
Importing images from a camera is a crucial function for a photo app. Ideally, Photos would be able to handle the full range of connection types, including SD cards, devices connected using USB, and Wi-Fi enabled cameras. Photo import should be simple and straightforward, and should require as little work from the user as possible. We have designs for an initial, simple version of device import. This could be expanded in the future, as needed: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gnome-design-team/gnome-mockups/master/photos/wires-device-import-simple.png
Debarshi says that this requires bug 680834 to be fixed, so marking it as a blocker.

Petr Štětka has some initial rough patches here: https://github.com/petr-stety-stetka/gnome-photos I am slowly cleaning them up and staging them in: gnome-photos:wip/rishi/collection
