Description Alain D D Williams 2015-06-17 10:10:48 UTC
Left and right when applied to rotation is just plain stupid, wrong and confusing. When I do it there is a 50% chance of me getting it wrong & clicking the wrong one.

If you don't like 'rotate clockwise' how about 'rotate top left' - a bit more meaningful and says what it does.

I see that this has been raised before as bug: 318082
Suggested use of icons was an answer ... but that has not happened.
It is still horribly confusing.
Comment 1 José Aliste 2015-06-17 12:03:38 UTC
i'd agree that it could be confusing and I'd change it but to rotate top left since clockwise is difficult to translate... actually rotate top left is also difficult to translate... but it's clearer
Comment 2 Alain D D Williams 2015-06-17 12:18:55 UTC
Surely the whole point of a translation is that you use words/phrases that are apposite for the new language.
