GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 75108
clock should show seconds count
Last modified: 2015-03-24 13:00:31 UTC
By default, you mean?
YEah preferably, thats how the menu panel clock works, i guess we could have a preference (eccchhh).
This would require a screenshot change: gnome-panel/applets/gen_util/help/C/clock/figures/clock-applet.png
would the screenshot change be a big deal, is it more than one locale, or would it only require one change. If it's not by default, i would at least like a preference to include a seconds count. Also I have no problem in making this post 2.0, since it is a feature request.
Nah, the screenshot is not a big deal. We currently only have it in one locale.

Bug #58693 has a patch attached to it. Don't know if this is usable...
I have just commited a patch which adds an option to show seconds (although OFF by default, you generally don't care about seconds) I will try to fix docs myself, because I have changed appearance of clock very much since the docs were written.
The docs have still not been updated. Gediminas, do you still plan to? Adding Pat Costello to the cc list, as he is the author of the current docs, which do not match the preferences, and reopening. Bugs like this are *not fixed* until the docs are updated to match. Closing guarantees that it will get lost.
docs updated, closing
