GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750614
Odd Pages Left option defaults to on, but not selected
Last modified: 2018-05-22 16:15:57 UTC
The default view when reading a document in Dual page mode is with the odd pages on the left. The Odd Pages Left option defaults to unchecked. In order to view the odd pages on the right, you must check the Odd Pages Left option, then uncheck it.
In conjunction with this https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=750613 this means that in order to view a document in Dual mode, with odd pages on the right, you must: 1. Open a document. 2. Check Dual page option 3. Zoom in (or page forward) 4. Zoom out (or page back) 5. Check Odd Pages Left option 6. Uncheck Odd Pages Left option
The related bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=750613) is resolved. This one still stands. Odd Pages Left defaults to on but unchecked. You must check it then uncheck it to get odd pages on the right.
I ran into this at https://bugs.debian.org/779629 My own instructions for reproducing it: 1. Open some multi-page document. 2. Check the 'Odd Pages Left' checkbox and close the document. 3. Open the same document again. 4. See that the 'Odd Pages Left' checkbox is not checked any more. 4. Change to 'Dual' mode and you'll see that it acts as though 'Odd Pages Left' is enabled. I suspect that this is a problem with not setting the state of the checkbox when the document's settings are loaded.
The related bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=750613) is reopened.
