Description Aaron Paden 2015-06-02 22:56:46 UTC
Things like

Jun 02 17:29:28 aaron-tower1 gnome-session[756]: (tracker-miner-fs:905): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_file_has_prefix: assertion 'G_IS_FILE (file)' failed

and

Jun 02 17:22:19 aaron-tower1 gnome-session[756]: (tracker-miner-fs:905): Tracker-CRITICAL **: tracker_file_system_forget_files: assertion 'node != NULL' failed

and

May 12 12:24:31 aaron-tower1 gnome-session[17517]: (tracker-miner-fs:17762): Tracker-WARNING **: File 'file:///home/aaron/Documents/source-packages/neovim-git/src/neovim-git/build/CMakeFiles/CMakeTmp/CMakeFiles/cmTryCompileExec1136570867.dir/DependInfo.cmake' has been reenqueued more than 2 times. It will not be indexed.

About 100,000 lines, 50% of my journal, is from tracker. Is it possible to reduce the noise a bit?
Comment 1 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2015-06-25 04:55:30 UTC
Possibly a duplicate of bug #735406 ?
Comment 2 Martyn Russell 2015-07-10 11:18:52 UTC
Not really a duplicate, that bug fixes how much output is reported and this bug seems different.

Something looks like it went horribly wrong (above) and should be fixed.

Is this still happening for you?
Comment 3 Aaron Paden 2015-07-12 15:55:10 UTC
I've since lowered the size of my journal, so I'm only getting information from about a week ago. In that time, I haven't gotten the forget_files error. However, my pacman logs say tracker was updated on May 9th, so it hasn't had any changes since this error showed up in my logs on June 2nd.

On the other hand, while tracker is taking up a lot fewer lines since I made the journal smaller (perhaps a bug was fixed since May 9th), grep Tracker-CRITICAL does pick up about 2088 lines still.

Of those, about 346 are "file bla has no disk nor store mtime".

4 are 'Could not start decorator'.

1736 are UNIQUE contstraint failed (some say (Sparql buffer) some say "could not execute sparql").

the other two are:
Jul 10 16:20:42 aaron-tower1 gnome-session[1073]: (tracker-miner-fs:1229): Tracker-CRITICAL **: (Sparql buffer) Error in task 5 of the array-update: Subject `(null)' is not in domain `nfo:FileDataObject' of property `nfo:fileName'
Jul 10 16:20:42 aaron-tower1 gnome-session[1073]: (tracker-miner-fs:1229): Tracker-CRITICAL **: Could not execute sparql: Subject `(null)' is not in domain `nfo:FileDataObject' of property `nfo:fileName'
Comment 4 Carlos Garnacho 2016-05-08 19:37:47 UTC
Those were fixed in 1.8
