Description Johny Why 2015-05-25 17:53:15 UTC
requesting 'insert html' button for message body.

Plz check out similar option on insert menu in eM client on windows, it's similar in look and approach in some ways to geary-- fast, modern, simple, beautiful.

thx for geary!

Indeed, this would be useful.

Thunderbird supports it via Insert>HTML menu, which opens a dialog where you can paste or write your HTML (including any CSS style).

I think that Geary may offer something similar in the drop-down menu on the right, visible only when "Formatted text" is checked.

This could be handled by allowing external editors to edit a message (Bug 714723), but either way this is going to have to be a plugin, so depending on Bug 714883.
Comment 3 Michael Gratton 2018-10-28 22:26:01 UTC
I just wrote up a tracking bug for the plugin system over at gitlab that collects all of the requirements for feature requests that should be implemented as plugins in the one place, so closing this bug in favour of that ticket: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/issues/155
