Description smaclean 2002-03-16 18:38:23 UTC
The gnome 1 version was able to minimize an application by clicking on that
application in the Window List Applet (the opposite action is used to
restore or unminimize an application from the Window List Applet). The
gnome 2 rarely works properly when trying to minimize an application from
the applet.

Just because this bothers me a little bit I want to make sure that
this is the same bug. 72628 (now fixed?) seems like a regression of
right click functionality (the menu) but I think this bug is about
left click functionality. In the newer releases of gnome1.x when you
left click on an item in the task list the app will minimize and
clicking on it again will restore the window. In the gnome2 window
list this does not work although it has worked a couple of times when
I tried it so if the functionality is there it's broken. For reference
Microsoft Windows 98 and up also have this same functionality but I
think an IE upgrade gives the same abilities to Windows 95.
