Description Dominique Leuenberger 2015-05-20 18:13:13 UTC
I heard from multiple, mostly internationally working users, that they would like the Panel clock to show the time in UTC, as most of their meetings are arranged in UTC time... and there are plenty other 'clocks' around in their proximity showing local time.

It would thus be great if UTC could be chosen as the time zone.

The top bar uses gnome-desktop's WallClock object for the clock, so that's where that setting would need to be implemented.
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2015-05-21 05:14:06 UTC
Not really interested in adding support for showing a time that's not the system time, but we have a bug to cover being able to set up UTC as a system time.

Thanks for taking the time to report this.
