GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 747641
GtkPlacesSidebar: show the new bookmark drop target throughout a folder drag operation
Last modified: 2015-04-14 20:36:36 UTC
Currently, if you want to drag a folder to the sidebar, you have to drag it to the (tiny) bookmarks section, so that a "New Bookmark" item is shown. Since the drop target is only visible once you are over it: (a) You have to have ESP to know that it is possible to create a bookmark through drag and drop. (b) You don't have a clear idea of the location you are dragging to, and you have to hunt around for it. It would be far better if the new bookmark item could be displayed for the entire duration of the drag operation. Bug 712790 is also related.
Lets dupe this on the other bug where carlos has been attaching the patches to implement this *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 747793 ***
