application menu submenus too wide

Created attachment 298624 [details] screenshot In classic mode (with shell 3.15.91, extensions 3.15.90), I find that the application menu submenus are a bit wide.
I suspect that's because someone thought that "OpenJDK 8 Policy Tool 1.8.0.40-19.b12.fc22.x86_64" and "OpenJDK 8 Monitoring & Management Console 1.8.0.40-19.b12.fc22.x86_64" where acceptable "application" names ...
yes thats it. Can we ellipsize a little earlier ?

Created attachment 298641 [details] [review] apps-menu: Make it a bit narrower General rule: if it can fit "GNU Image Manipulation Program", it is wide enough ... So turns out it was much simpler - we're just setting a very generous fixed width in the code.
