Drafts have been broken in many ways, so we only showed them in the Drafts folder.  Hopefully, they are largely fixed now.  We should consider enabling them for in all folders.

I confirm that in current Geary drafts are visible only in the drafts folder and not in the inbox.

This feature would be very convenient.
Gmail, both webmail and mobile app, show drafts anywhere.
