Do this width default ADWAITA theme :

- open  FILES
- choose a file and select OPEN WITH from context menu
- check the header bar bottom border : it is 2px wide (check attached screenshot)

in fact the bottom border of search bar is always visibile.

In my opinion, bottom border of search bar should be hidden and it should be appear only when you press the search button

Not a theme problem, really. See bug 740640 for the underlying issue.
