Description Matthew Harrison 2014-11-17 10:45:14 UTC
(ubuntu 14.10 standard)

I'm finding Nautilus won't launch a window from the Files Favourite Icon.
It is running, as I hav the Desktop, and I can launch it from the Places Extension.

one thing to note which may be relevant - my home directories are on another partition and are symlinked to /home:

e.g. /mnt/hdd2/home/harry

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Nov 14 18:33 /home -> /mnt/hdd2/home

This is possibly not to do with Nautilus, but to do with desktop or favourites integration...

$ nautilus --new-window <directory>

works from the cmd-line for any <directory>

Files in favorites used to launch a new Nautilus window without problem (3.10, I don't think I was long enough in 3.12 to notice)

(ubuntu 14.10, btw)
