Geary debug log

I use Geary 0.8.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 and today it stopped working, crashing every time I try to launch it.

Unfortunately there's not much more I can say. I just launch it from the messaging menu, it appears and starts downloading (I guess) my mail, but suddenly crashes.

My random guess is that there could be an authentication problem with some of my Gmail accounts, because just today the Gmail web client started messing up my authentication (used to have a bookmark for every account, but now every link redirects me to the account that is currently active in the browser).

I attached the debug log for further reference.

Please install debug packages for geary and (lib)glib2 and attach a new gdb stacktrace.

Just an update to let you know that the latest patch didn't fix my problem. After updating, I rebooted and tried to launch geary, but it crashed right away.

I've pushed a commit to master that should allow Geary to continue operating. It will log a more informative error to the console than what you're getting now, so if you could post another debug log (even if Geary doesn't crash), that would be helpful to me.

I will, as soon as I get the update. Thanks.

Debug log 9-11

I didn't notice Geary being updated, but today it started notifying new mails at start-up again, so I gave it a try. It crashed after I opened it. I'm attaching the log.

This is the same crash as before. You will need to either build Geary from git master or, on Ubuntu, install it from our Daily Build PPA (https://launchpad.net/~yorba/+archive/ubuntu/daily-builds).
Comment 8 Francesco Tarantini 2014-11-12 11:26:51 UTC

I added the daily-builds ppa but when I tried to update I got the message:
"The following packages were left to their original version: geary geary-dbg". Disabled the "regular" ppa and tried again, but with the same result.
Uninstalled both geary and geary-dbg and removed dependencies, then tried again and this time I got something like:
"Some packages could not be installed. This can mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
Geary: Depends: libgee-0.8-2 (> = 0.14.0) but the version 0.10.5-1ubuntu1 is going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages."

So I tried to uninstall libgee but thar would remove a lot of other packages and I'm not sure that's what I wanna do just to update geary...

Hi Francesco, I know this was a while ago but wanted to see what the result of this was. Did you get a newer version of Geary installed?
