GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 737862
[gtk-3.14] Spam icon too small
Last modified: 2016-07-14 02:24:51 UTC
Even with the other icon fixes for GTK+ 3.14 (bug #732065) the Spam icon in the folder list remains too small.
I was about to report that the spam icon does not communicate well its meaning and found this issue. It's not about the size, it's about the image itself. Apart from the fact that a pig icon for spam may offend someone sensibility, the image meaning is not easy to understand. To be honest, a pig reminds me more the "save money" boxes :-) Which icons other apps use? Gmail does not use any icon for folders/labels, but the spam icon to mark a message as spam is quite effective: it's a simple hexagon with an exlamation mark in the center (pretty easy to reproduce). I think that it would fit well in the Geary icons' look&feel. Other ideas?
