GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 736601
Do something sane when the user has no Internet
Last modified: 2018-05-24 10:59:19 UTC
Turn off your Internet connection and then visit one of Totem's channels, e.g. Blip.tv. The page is completely blank, with no indication of what is wrong. There should be a label that says an Internet connection is required.
I just discovered that the updates page in gnome-software is a great example of how to handle this.
I'd use the same layout as described in the empty states mockups for this: https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/OS/EmptyStates
