Description Ankur Sinha (FranciscoD) 2014-09-01 04:34:55 UTC
While using the Asus Slate, I got a message saying that the wacom tablet needs calibration. I tapped on it and it brought up the calibration screen which had a cross hair in a corner and two circles in the centre. First, there were no instructions on what to do? Was I to tap the cross hair with my stylus?

When I didn't know what to do, I wanted to get out of the calibration screen. I couldn't do this either - there was no cancel button, and even alt f4 from a usb keyboard didn't work.

It says:
"Please tap the target markers as they appear on screen to calibrate the tablet."
in the middle of the screen.

What did it look like on your machine, can you take a screenshot?

Removing the touch keyword, it's not touch.

Hrm, weird. When I fired it up to check this time, the message was there. I'm quite sure it wasn't there last time when I had checked..

I'm closing this at the moment. If it happens again, I'll reopen it and provide a screenshot.

Bastien,

should I file a separate bug requesting the inclusion of a cancel button? I couldn't get out of it again. I had to force restart.

There's a timeout already, but feel free to file a bug about a cancel button.

I filed a fresh bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=735788

What is the time out supposed to do? Is the calibration screen supposed to close? I did notice a timer running, but even after it had completed, nothing happened. The calibration screen just sat there and I couldn't get out of it.

Thanks again,
Ankur
