Description Yosef Or Boczko 2014-08-30 20:45:14 UTC
A lot of items in the gear menu not needs to be there.

- 'Close' and 'New Tab' needs to be removed, we have them in
the headerbar itself.
- 'Undo' and 'Redo'; 'Cut', 'Copy' and 'Paste' needs to be in the
context menus only, not in the gear menu.
- Zoom In and Zoom out needs to be there, yet
- 'Find' should be up. you needs to find something more than the time
you wants to save page as web application...

Needs rethink:
- Bookmarks items - how the submenus will work with popover?
- Text Encoding - there is more bug about this (number?)

More a question - what we needs to put '…' at the end of the item?

Michael, I'm hope I not forgot anything.

Oh, I forgot more thing, very importand:
I think we needs to move the 'Find' action to the headerbar, although it not
a search-filtering action.

It's pretty traditional to have Open and Save at the top of the menu, and we
should keep Save as Web Application right beneath Save.

I'd consult the designers before using a search button in the header bar for Find.

I agree about all the rest.

When that action requires more user input (such as a dialog) to take effect,
rather than occurring instantly.

If the Find action left on the gear menu, I still wants it before the Zoom In and Zoome Out
(the other items will be removed, the undo, cut, paste etc).

We're switching to a popover menu in bug #739638!
