GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 735652
sending mail fails with "Error while Sending message. Cannot send message: service not connected."
Last modified: 2014-09-04 09:50:22 UTC
I upgraded evolution and evolution-data-server from 3.12.2 to 3.12.5 and now I get this error with a send-only account that connects to a localhost port, which is forwarded over SSH to a server. This error appears in the UI: Error while Sending message. Cannot send message: service not connected. Cannot send message: service not connected. These messages appear in the log files: Aug 28 23:07:48 chianamo gnome-session[2165]: (evolution:2466): camel-CRITICAL **: network_service_connect_sync: assertion 'connectable != NULL' failed Aug 28 23:07:48 chianamo gnome-session[2165]: (evolution:2466): camel-CRITICAL **: network_service_connect_sync: assertion 'connectable != NULL' failed Aug 28 23:07:49 chianamo gnome-session[2165]: Window manager warning: last_focus_time (2913735) is greater than comparison timestamp (2913683). This most likely represents a buggy client sending inaccurate timestamps in messages such as _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW. Trying to work around...
I'm using GNOME and Evolution from Debian jessie.
