known issue; in bug 732184 I outlined an idea to make the installed tests runner honor environment variables, like TESTS_ENVIRONMENT in Makefile.am.

should be fixed in clutter-1.20 now that gnome-desktop-testing-runner uses the TestEnvironment key.
