Song Information Cut Off in Rhythmbox

The information of the currently-playing song (just under the play controls) is cut off along the bottom, making 'y's look like 'v's and 'g's look like 'a's, etc.

This can be seen in the attached image.

Song information should read:
Animal Rights (Feat. Wolfgang Gartner) by Deadmau5 from 4x4=12

This is a Unity issue (given the theme in the screenshot) with the fonts and theme being used.

This doesnt occur in RB3 and I would suggest you retest with that version available in ubuntu 14.04
