GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 730773
Cannot print file exported in JPEG Progessive mode format
Last modified: 2014-06-02 13:08:31 UTC
Created attachment 277221 [details] the file jpeg that i can't print I export a file in jpeg format and I can't print it with my canon printer Selphy, with the old version of gimp I could do it. Why?
What are the exact steps (click by click) to reproduce the problem? Why do you think this is a problem with GIMP? Which system is this about?
1) I open a file in Gimp .xcf 2) I add a layer and a text 3) I export the file : "FILE" -> "Export as" than I choose the directory where save the file and file extension "jpg, jpeg jpe" 4) I try toprint it saving the file in a SD card o throught the program Selphy Photo Print, and it dosen't work. I think is a problem with the new version of GIMP because untill 2-3 weeks ago with an old version of GIMP, I did the same things and I could print the file, now I can't. Thank you in advance

This is probably the Progesssive mode when exporting to JPEG. Try to disable that in the JPEG export dialog, and if it works, ask Canon for an update for the printer firmware and/or driver software.
