GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 730741
Europe/Paris timezone is UTC+00:09:21 instead of +02:00:00
Last modified: 2014-05-26 08:15:13 UTC
I live in France and I use the Europe/Paris timezone, like most french ;) Since 3.12.1 (I guess), and update of timezone-data from 2014b to 2014c (but I saw nothing in the 2014c Europe timezone that was suspect in comparison to 2014b), the time that is displayed is *almost* UTC. *almost* == UTC+00:09:21 As you can see in the attachment, the selected timezone is Europe/Paris, and the screen displays "UTC+00:09:21" instead of "UTC+02:00:00". In the 2014c data europe file, I can find stuff like: # Zone NAME GMTOFF RULES FORMAT [UNTIL] Zone Europe/Paris 0:09:21 - LMT 1891 Mar 15 0:01 0:09:21 - PMT 1911 Mar 11 0:01 # Paris MT But I find the same is the 2014b, even in 2013i. So I guess that somehow, the Gnome interpretation of the file changed.
Created attachment 277167 [details] screen of the timezone selection map.
