Description Martin Simon 2014-05-19 19:40:20 UTC
When evince in fullscreen, the document name (title) is not displayed at all. In normal window mode it's displayed in title bar, but in fullscreen there is no title bar.

There is plenty of space between the "search" and "scale" buttons where the name could be displayed.
Comment 1 Martin Simon 2014-05-19 19:41:27 UTC
The problem is present in latest evince version build from sources via jhbuild on 2014-05-19.

The purpose of fullscreen is to show only the content in full screen.
It has always been that way.

Maybe you are confusing full screen mode with maximized mode?

Of course I am. You're right, in fullscreen it makes perfect sense to show only content and nothing else. I meant maximized mode as you suggested, changed the bug title.

Thanks for the clarification.

Then this is a duplicate of Bug 711078

It's the window manager (gnome-shell) the one that hides the decoration
on maximized windows. Something that should be solved once evince
use the GtkHeaderBar.
