Description Paul Menzel 2014-05-15 22:31:23 UTC
With Debian Sid/unstable and the package `nautilus` 3.8.2-3, in a Nautilus window in Icon View (not List View) pressing F2 to rename a folder or with right click or when creating a new folder, there is only white and no text is visible. It works for files (with extensions?).
Comment 1 Paul Menzel 2014-05-16 20:24:54 UTC
Testing the same thing on a different system with Debian Sid/unstable and the same package versions, I am unable to reproduce this.

Any idea how to debug this issue?
Comment 2 Paul Menzel 2014-05-16 20:38:54 UTC
Scratch my last comment. According to the Debian bug report 740709 [1], this only failed when one had scrolled before and I did not do that on the second system.

Andreas, replied that it is probably already fixed upstream by commit [2], which also mentions a bug 705464 [2], so I am marking it as a duplicate of this. Though it is strange that bug 705464 says it only started to appear in Nautilus 3.9.3.
