Dragging the pages of the applications view can sometimes stick the view in an intermediate position (ie two pages are visible)

This only seems to happen when the cursor is not moving, so maybe this might be because the shell has no idea what direction the cursor is moving (ie prev_cursor_pos == cursor_pos) and consequently whether to keep the original page or to switch it. But then again I have no idea.
