GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 727981
Use a dialog for software update review
Last modified: 2014-05-14 14:08:34 UTC
Created attachment 274014 [details] rough wireframe After you have installed updates, you are able to review what has been installed. Currently we point the user to the standard updates view in the Software app - this can be confusing, since it isn't clear whether these are pending updates, or updates that have already been installed. My current view is that we should show the update review in a dialog - this will be much clearer. It could also help with bug 715171.
I have a wip/installed_updates branch ready that moves the installed updates to a dialog. A quick demo showing this: http://kalev.fedorapeople.org/gnome-software-installed-updates.webm
That looks much less confusing, thanks.
Looks good, although there's something wrong with the highlight effect on hover - the background of the whole row should change colour.
Good catch, thanks -- fixed on the branch.
I've merged it to master now. Please let me know if anything else with the dialog needs fine tuning.
