In 3.12 the history dialog in not usable. When I try to enter anything in search it takes at least 5-10 minutes to do the search (I never bothered to wait longer) when the process consumes 100% CPU. Even closing the dialog have large latency.

I think the patches in bug 699519 fixed this (the speed problems), so
I mark this as duplicate of this bug, but if you think this not releat, feel
free to reopen this bug.

With patches from bug 699519 it's much better now. There is still delay when closing the window (possibly quick'n'dirty trick would be to just hide it first and wait for background operations to finish later) but it's much shorter now.
