GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 726959
Seahorse hangs every time when trying to add a subkey
Last modified: 2018-08-03 19:37:42 UTC
PGP Keys -> (key) -> Properties -> Details -> Subkeys/Add -> type: RSA (sign only), key length: 2048 It does not seem to matter which key type or the size. Instead of adding the key, seahorse just stops responding. Eventually if I try to close the window, a dialog box pops up with this message: The window "..." does not seem to be responding. Do you want to force it to exit by sending the terminate signal? Cancel End Process Waiting does not bring a response from seahorse, it seems gone, until a very long time has passed. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch) Release: 14.04 $ apt-cache policy seahorse seahorse: Installed: 3.10.2-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.10.2-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.10.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

See bug #614576, could this be the same thing (hangs on lack of entropy)?
