Description Andreas J. Guelzow 2014-03-12 06:54:57 UTC
'distributed' alignment in LO, Excel etc. means that the text is spread over the whole cell width, so the text "Hello World" would have "Hello" on the left side and "World" on the right side of the cell.

In Gnumeric it seems to be rendered as if it is just centered.

we probably never implemented this.

Are we talking word-spacing only (i.e., stretch existing whitespace)
or also letter spacing? ("H e l l o W o r l d")

(I am not fond of letter spacing.)
Comment 2 Andreas J. Guelzow 2014-03-12 17:39:15 UTC
Excel 2013 and LO adjust word spacing only. And I am not fond of adjusting letter spacing either.

This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Regrettably pango uses letter spacing, so that's what we get.
