GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 724753
Saved Multicolumn Report Error
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:26:59 UTC
This is what I did: Created Cash Flow and Profit & Loss reports for both February and March. Renamed and saved all four reports. Used these reports to populate a Custom Mulitcolumn Report. Renamed and saved this as FebMar Multi. All five reports show up under the Preconfigured Reports menu. I can open and close FebMar Multi from the Preconfigured Reports menu while I am in the GC session in which I created the report. However, if I close GC and start a new GC session, I get the following error message when I attempt to open FebMar Multi from the Preconfigured Reports menu. "Report error An error occurred while running the report." The saved February and March, Cash Flow and Profit & Loss reports all work correctly from one session to the next. It is only the Custom Multicolumn Report that fails. This worked in GC 2.4.13. Windows 7 Home Premium Firefox 27.0.1 GnuCash 2.6.1
I can confirm this bug. GnuCash 2.6.0 Ubuntu 12.04
Thank you for your report. The way to save preconfigured reports was overhauled for 2.6. In this change generating a multi-column base preconfigured report was overlooked. That should now be fixed with commit https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/commit/94493e03 Note that the information to regenerate the preconfigured multi-column report was never saved. So you will have to recreate the preconfigured report before you will note the fix. This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report.
