GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 724616
virtualized system is running too fast
Last modified: 2016-03-31 13:22:07 UTC
Hi, I have installed a Win server 2003 over my Fedora 19. all seems OK, but, the system is running too fast. by exemple : 1 minute take 9 secondes. when you want change the résolution, you have 3 seconds to say "yes keep the configuration".
Well thats the clock trying to catch-up (after being paused for hours/days). We've been told by libvirt/qemu devs that "catchup" is the best clock tick policy for windows and thats what we setup. I need to look into this to see if that is reall/still true and that we can't do better.

If I understand this correctly: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=722293#c0 This is still very much true. I guess there is no way to solve this and you'd either have to make sure you don't pause your VM for too long or wait for catch up process to catch up. For some reason this is making me hungry. :)
