Description Asif Ali Rizvan 2014-02-07 00:55:41 UTC
when we can have tabs, which look uglier, then why can't we have split views in nautilus?

moreover, split views never block the work flow!

Split views would not have caused any hindrance to Touch user interface nor it causes any trouble to desktop users. On the contrary it would assist the Touch User Interface for easy drag and drop.

I request nautilus devs, to please restore split views, as they help make things easier to copy, move etc...

using 2 nautilus windows is a burden, which is against the goal of gnome, making things easier!

The "split views" could just be there in the menu, instead of toolbar.

Ironically gedit showing off split views (tab groups).
