Description asterix 2014-01-15 14:56:12 UTC
In privacy>>screen lock, set automatic screenlock. What's probably the most popular option is for the screen to lock when it goes blank. However. For all the different timings the drop down box makes sense: 'Lock Screen After Blank For || 1 Minute || ' etc.
However, it doesn't make sense to say 'Lock Screen After Blank For || Screen Turns Off ||'. Its a really good option, it just needs rewording.

How do you suggest this is reworded then?
Comment 2 asterix 2014-01-16 18:00:22 UTC
Hmm I haven't thought about it much but

After blank lock screen || immediately|| / ||30 seconds later||

On screen blank lock screen || immediately|| / ||After 30 seconds||

Lock screen after blank for || 0 || minutes

Lock screen || immediately || / ||1 minute|| after screen goes blank.

Are a few ideas, I'm sure there are better ones to be thought of.

  Lock screen after blank for || 0 || minutes
  Lock screen || immediately || / ||1 minute|| after screen goes blank.

These two fail the translatability test. Breaking strings like this is certain to not work in some languages.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
