Description Miha 2013-12-28 19:07:24 UTC
When I open a pdf document, a search bar is shown by default. That's not ok, it should appear only after clicking the search button or pressing ctrl+f or after starting typing.
Comment 1 Debarshi Ray 2013-12-28 20:24:15 UTC
You had the search bar opened before previewing the document. Right?
Comment 2 Miha 2013-12-28 21:01:10 UTC
Yes.
Comment 3 Debarshi Ray 2013-12-28 22:32:08 UTC
So what you are basically saying is that the search bar's visibility should not be global but restricted to the specific modes.

I am not so sure that is a bug in itself. I will let the others comment on what the desired behaviour should be.

That's right.

Here's my reasoning: I (almost) never use search in the preview right after I open a document. So in 95 % of the cases first thing I have to do when I preview a document is close a search bar which is annoying.

<aday> rishi, yep, the search bar should hide once you open a document
