GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 720761
Middle-click tab does nothing
Last modified: 2013-12-19 22:10:45 UTC
I'm trying GNOME for the first time using Fedora 20 and was surprised that when I middle-click a tab in Nautilus file manager nothing happens. It's common for web browsers and other software like text editors to allow you to middle-click tabs to close them. It's weird this detail would be overlooked by GNOME devs and designers. Can you consider implementing this little feature to GNOME/Nautilus? Pros: - Ability to quickly close tabs without having to aim the the "X" close button - "Middle-click on tab" isn't assigned to do anything else - I've never seen someone performing a middle-click by accident, it's pretty much impossible if you ask me, but even if the user manages that achievement it can be easily undone via Ctrl+Shift+T. Cons: -

I can use Ctrl+Shift+T to reopen closed tabs in Fedora 20.
(In reply to comment #2) > I can use Ctrl+Shift+T to reopen closed tabs in Fedora 20. On nautilus? I am on Fedora 20 too and can't reopen closed tabs in nautilus.
Oh no, sorry, my fault. Ctrl+Shift+T currently opens the "selected" folder in a new tab.
