Description Simon Feltman 2013-12-09 06:12:00 UTC
This is a tracking ticket for managing issues that arise when attempting to add introspection support to libraries that don't exactly match the patterns used by the GNOME stack.

A good example of this is cairo and I recently ran into a number of similar issues when attempting to bind libsmf (https://github.com/sfeltman/libsmf).
Comment 1 Behdad Esfahbod 2013-12-09 06:21:50 UTC
Yes please. Unfortunately right now swig, cython, ctypes, etc all seem better fit to bind HarfBuzz into Python than g-i.
Comment 2 Matthias Clasen 2013-12-09 13:45:40 UTC
there's a reason for the 'g' in g-i...

[Mass-moving gobject-introspection tickets to its own Bugzilla product - see bug 708029. Mass-filter your bugmail for this message: introspection20150207 ]

Yep, as Matthias said: gobject-introspection is for gobject-based libraries.
